SCHOOL FEES UPDATE: Official Release from Babcock University ….MUST READ!!!!!!!

News went viral on monday afternoon about the new school fees of this great institution. (If you missed the story, read HERE)

I kept on trying to find out if this news was really true because it was so outrageous…and thanks to my inner source that provided an evidence to prove that the story was false.

An email was sent to all alumnus of the school by the Director for external and community affairs, Joshua Sulaiman. The email read thus:

For the avoidance of doubt, we present here the official fees for the 2013/2014 academic session as approved by the university administration.

: 100L and 200L : N380,000
300L and 500L : N310,000 for all programmes except medical program.

The consolidated fee for medical programme at Benjamin .S. Carson school of medicine is N2 million naira per session which covers tuition, accomodation, feeding , laboratory and every other charges associated with the program.

Regular: #70k, Premium: #100k and Classic #150k based on students’ preference.

: #15k

#30k per-session (for all non-computer science students)

: 100L & 200L- #38k and 300L -500L: #22k

: #25k

The average fee at BU is #630,500 which covers Accommodation, Feeding and Tuition, Medical insurance and miscellaneous fees.

LAW: #763k as against the #2m reported
ACCOUNTING: #763k as against the #1.5m reported.
MEDICINE is ( #2m consolidated as against the #3m)
NURSING: #763k as against the #1m reported.

There is no hidden charges outside of what is listed here.

  1. Even @ that, 2million naira 4 medicine is outrageous. Was are u teaching. Doctors 4rm ur skool are not special.
